Fashion is one of the most attractive contemporary forms of art. On the other hand, fashionable clothes are functional and desirable. Those circumstances also bring together large groups of people eager to experience the new, the different and the current.
In the grand fashion show–the annual fashion show of the Department of Fashion Design at the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch–collections and garments created by the students from the department will be presented.
The theme of the fashion show–Fashion Dialogues–is personal and social, a reaction of the young people to personal experiences and what is happening around them. It is a kind of journey and return to our own “self”, to what we love, to what makes us happy; a journey to the unknown or the dreamed-of; a theme that pays attention to the detail and the moment, not to the global; a theme that encourages us to rejoice and enjoy the present; a theme in which to bring out the best in ourselves.
The show will present the end-of-year projects of students from all courses of study in the department at the Branch of the National Academy of Art, and the main emphasis will be the collections of graduating BA students.
The event is implemented within the framework of the 2026 Competition for Funding Projects on the Scientific Research and Artistic Activities at the National Academy of Art.
