Over 250 models and 24 designer collections were presented at the Annual Fashion Show of the Fashion Design students at the National Academy of Art in Sofia and its Burgas Branch. The large-scale fashion event took place on 11 June 2026 at the Depot of the Urban Mobility Center.
The theme of this year's edition was Journey – a kind of return to one's own "self", to the unknown and the dreamed-of, with a focus on detail and the present moment. The show presented the end-of-year projects of all courses of study in the department. The main emphasis was on the collections of graduating BA and MA students, through which the new generation of designers demonstrates modern thinking and commitment to current social issues.
The event is part of the official programme to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the National Academy of Art.
The annual fashion show is realised with the support of Ivet Fashion, Serdika Center, BN Artin Nigohosyan Foundation, and with the kind hosting of the Urban Mobility Center.
After the end of the show, certificates were distributed by the sponsors and partners of the initiative, who distinguished the young designers' talent and work.
Winners of the first special awards (announced)
Alice Demireva – a special award from the IVAN ASEN 22 Foundation and Platform for Conceptual Designers, which provides an opportunity to present a collection in foundation's showroom
Elena Ilieva – a special award for a professional photo shoot from the photography and styling studio The Trackers
Dimitar Avramov – a special award from Ozone Pro, including a voucher for professional photo and video equipment
Krassimir Yordanov – a special award for independent participation in Moda Sofia, the first major international fashion event in Bulgaria
The names of the other awarded students are yet to be announced.
