Functional catalogue of Collection “Stefan Kanchev“ within the Museum Collection of the National Academy of Art
Successfully was completed "Thematic Classification and Creation of a Functional Catalogue of Collection "Stefan Kanchev" within the Museum Collection of the National Academuy of Art” - the project implemented by the Department of Poster and Visual Communication.
The work activities on making the catalogue (March-October 2020) considerably improved the preservation of all the works (originals), whereopon they were systematised in detail and classified by areas. The digital photo archive created some time ago is a visual supplement to the card file. This significantly has reduced the necessity for physical searching and processing; in the future it will be incomparably easier and faster to find a specific work. The initiative has also resulted in a functional catalogue in which each fund is visualised through small-scale images of archival units.
The catalogue of Stefan Kanchev's works, kept in the Museum Collection of the Academy, is also published as a print edition with an ISBN number.
The project was implemented within the open call for scientific and artistic-creative activities at the National Academy of Art in 2020.
