Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vassil Kolev is the award-winner from the International Exhibition for Fine Arts ARTISTIC COMPOSITION in Serbia

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vassil Kolev, teacher in the Department of Printmaking at the National Academy of Art, was the first to receive an award named after the great Serbian artist Velizar Krstić.
The award was established by the organisers of the international fine arts exhibition ARTISTIC COMPOSITION – Natasha Budimlija Krstić, Alina Gadomski Todorović and Milica Savić, which was opened on 7 November 2022 in Belgrade (Serbia). 95 artists from 11 countries participate in the exhibition. The jury for determining the winner of the Velizar Krstić Award awarded Prof. Kolev for his work "Thief of Voices – Portrait of a Friend", intaglio, 80 x 80 cm.
Vassil Kolev graduated with a degree in Printmaking from the National Academy of Art and in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, and is an associate professor of printmaking and composition, and a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He is the winner of numerous printmaking awards. In 2021, he received the special award of the jury at the XXI International Printmaking Biennale, 20 years after Velizar Krstić had won the Grand Prize at the XI International Printmaking Biennale 2001.
