National Exhibition of Arts and Crafts, Village of Oreshak, 256 Stara planina Street
The exhibition by students from the departments of Woodcarving, Ceramics, Textile – Art and Design, Metal, and Porcelain and Glass Design will be presented at the National Exhibition of Arts and Crafts in the village of Oreshak, Portata Hall, from 10 November to 11 December 2025. The exhibition is organised by the Center for Preservation and Development of Traditional Bulgarian Applied Arts at the National Academy of Art and is presenting the five departments in the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design at the National Academy of Art.
The exhibition includes student works and projects, graduation projects of alumni of the departments and examines the plastic and compositional issues that the artists express through the specific aesthetic qualities of the individual materials they work with. The works in the exhibition are executed in various painting and graphic techniques, as well as others achieved through serigraphy, photography and computer technologies.
Each of the mediums includes various possibilities for application, using modern techniques. In the process of completing individual tasks within the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, traced is the development from small sculpture form to monumental sculpture, from design behaviour to artistic search.
The exhibition is realised within the framework of the 2025 Competition for Funding Projects on the Scientific Research and Artistic Activities at the National Academy of Art.
