Fashion Design students from the National Academy of Art were granted Golden Needle scholarships by the Academy of Fashion

In fulfillment of its corporate social mission "Golden Needle 2022", the Academy of Fashion has selected the new recipients of its scholarships.
The awardees are three of the best students pursuing Bachelor's degree programme in Fashion Design at the National Academy of Art – Nia Topalova (IV year), Maya Dimova (II year) and Nadia Uzun (II year).
The students received funding from the Academy of Fashion to purchase sewing equipment and for educational purposes. Nia Topalova, who graduated from the National Academy of Art this year, was also awarded a special photo session to help her create a portfolio related to the defense of her graduation thesis. The photographer Dilyan Markov, Helena Todorova, Veronika Stefanova and Alexander Ivanchev (V&A Glamour Beauty Salon) and Victoria Stefan (Derma Life) took part in the photo session pro bono.
This year's scholarship recipients presented their latest works at the Annual Awards for Most Successful and Stylish Bulgarians "BG Fashion Icon 2023".
The charitable initiative is a joint activity of the Academy of Fashion, the photographer Dilyan Markov, three times winner of the Golden Needle, and Ekaterina Svecheva, top fashion model, influencer and face of Golden Needle 2022.
