LISTEN (to what I am going to tell you) | Sculptural installation at Sofia High School of Mathematics "Paisiy Hilendarski"

On 15 May 2024, the sculptural installation "LISTEN (to what I am going to tell you). The encounter of teacher and student – intentions and expectations – the results" was presented in the lobby of Sofia High School of Mathematics "Paisiy Hilendarski". It is realised as part of the pedagogical practice of the 3rd-year students in the Department of Sculpture at the National Academy of Art Stoyan Tsvetanov and Zahari Zahariev, both also pursuing the degree programme in Theory and Practice of Art Education, involving students from Sofia High School of Mathematics. The installation was officially presented by the Head Teacher of the high school Dr. Antoine Tonev, in the presence of the Vice-Rector of the National Academy of Art Prof. Zdravka Vasileva, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Tsvetoslav Hristov, PhD, Head of the Department of Sculpture, the Art teacher at the high school Ms Hristina Stoyanova, other teachers and students.
The project "LISTEN (to what I am going to tell you). The encounter of teacher and student – intentions and expectations – the results" started as an ordinary Fine Art class, but transformed into a workshop and then into a big project involving 29 students from the 11th and 12th grades at the high school. The project message focuses on the importance and meaning of the teacher–student relationship.
