IV year students from Book and Printed Graphics headed by Prof. Kiril Gogov, realized their dream by taking part in one of the most prestigious exhibitions of the book – Leipzig Buchmesse 2014.
Veliana Ivanova, Victoria Staykova, Deyan Sedlarski, Dina Mircheva, Zoritsa Pencheva and Mila Yaneva represented the National Academy of Art with their original publications in the field of children's literature. Among them were the tales of Oscar Wilde “The Selfish Giant” and “The Fisherman and His Soul” and Angel Karaliychev’s – “The Giant and the Dragon”, “The Little Liberator”, “Lion Without a Tail”. All were accepted enthusiastically by the visitors of the exhibition and received extremely high ratings. “Even Cyrillic texts were not an obstacle for the connoisseurs to buy books for themselves or their children” – shared graduates of the academy and added, “We're loaded with positive energy and increased appetite for new achievements and performances”.
The book exhibition Leipzig Buchmesse is held annually, bringing together authors, publishers and readers from around the world to engage in dialogue and to make their discoveries, sharing new ideas, developments and technologies in the book.
