Opening of Annual Exhibition 2021 of the Bachelor graduates from the National Academy of Art
Prof. Georgi Iankov, Rector of the National Academy of Art, wished "Health, inspiration and loads of courage" to the Bachelor graduates, who presented their diploma projects in Shipka 6 Gallery at the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) on 22 July.
On the occasion of the exhibition, one of the events commemorating the Academy’s 125th anniversary, the UBA President Mr Lyuben Genov also greeted the young artists and wished them good luck.
This year, the Academic Council of the National Academy of Art established two scholarships, each amounting to a semester tuition fee, for bachelor graduates who are going to continue their studies in the Master's degree programmes at the National Academy of Art. One of the scholarships is in the name of Prof. Andrey Daniel and will be granted to students studying Painting. The other scholarship – in the name of Prof. Krassimir Dzhidrov – is for Ceramics students.
A commission of lecturers took the decision that the scholarship in the name of Prof. Andrey Daniel would be awarded to Yordan Velkov (Painting), and the scholarship in the name of Prof. Krassimir Dzhidrov – to Ivana Hristova (Ceramics).
