Prof. Georgi Iankov, Rector of the National Academy of Art, had a meeting with Her Excellency Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of Finland to Bulgaria

On 14 March 2024, the Rector of the National Academy of Art Prof. Georgi Iankov, together with the Vice-Rector Prof. Zdravka Vasileva, PhD, Ms Svilena Chelebiyska-Mateeva, Director of Education, Projects and International Cooperation, Ms Didi Spasova, Head of Public Relations Department, met with H.E. Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of Finland to Bulgaria, Ms Rumyana Vassileva, Embassy of Finland, and Ms Monika Tsvetkova, Ambassador for a Day of Finland.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos expressed her support for the implementation of future joint projects between the two institutions, which would stimulate the joint presentation of projects by Bulgarian and Finnish artists. Ambassador Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos donated to the Library of the Academy publications presenting Finnish art. As a present, Prof. Iankov gave the Ambassador of Finland academic publications and one of his authorship posters.
After the meeting, the delegation from the Embassy of Finland visited the sculpture and painting ateliers in the North Building of the National Academy of Art, located at 1 Shipka Street.
