The exhibition VIVA L'ACCADEMIA was opened at Bulgaria Gallery, Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Rome

The exhibition VIVA L'ACCADEMIA was opened on 2 October 2025. It presents a selection of works by professors from the National Academy of Art in various fields of visual art–painting, prints, sculpture, poster, illustration, textiles, ceramics, digital arts and fashion design. The exhibition was presented by the Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Rome, Mr. Iliya Lozanov, the Vice-Rector of the National Academy of Art, Prof. Zdravka Vassileva, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Vasil Kolev, PhD, head of the gallery and exhibition activities at the Academy, in the presence of representatives of the BCI – Rome, art connoisseurs and many visitors.

The teachers at the National Academy of Art are prominent artists, who in parallel with their teaching activities successfully develop and establish their own artistic practices; and setting an example for their young colleagues is one of the most important aspects of student education.

Viva l’Accademia is the first in a series of exhibitions, which will be presented in 2026 and which aim to feature and promote the art of the Academy's teachers in Bulgaria and abroad.

The presenting of the National Academy of Art in the Bulgaria Gallery at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Rome is part of the programme for productive cooperation and implementation of joint projects.

The project is implemented within the framework of the 2025 Competition for Funding Projects on the Scientific and Artistic Activities at the National Academy of Art.

The exhibition can be visited until 16 October 2025, during the working days and hours of the Bulgaria Gallery, Via Monte Brianzo 60, Rome, Italy.
