The National Academy of Art participated in the Higher Education in Bulgaria Forum in Kyustendil

The National Academy of Art participated with its own expo stand in the specialised forum "Higher Education in Bulgaria", which was held on 19 February 2026 at the Park-Hotel "Kyustendil" in the city of Kyustendil.
The Academy was represented by Asst. Prof. Denitsa Ivanova, PhD, (Department of Industrial Design), Asst. Prof. Yordan Velkov (Department of Painting) and Yavor Kondov (PR Senior Expert). Among the officials and guests were the Director of the Centre for Support of Personal Development – Municipal Complex for Children in Kyustendil, Ms Prolet Hranova, along with the Centre's team, the Director and employees of the Labour Bureau – Kyustendil, and experts from the Regional Department of Education – Kyustendil. The event was organised by the Career Guidance Centre at the Cente for Support of Personal Development – Municipal Complex for Children and provided a valuable opportunity for the students from the area to meet and talk in person with representatives of the higher education institutions in Bulgaria.
At the Academy’s expo stand, prospective students received important information about the educational offers of the National Academy of Art, preparatory courses and consultations for applicants, the specifics of the entrance exams, opportunities for mobility, exchange and an active creative life even during their years of study.
Asst. Prof. Denitsa Ivanova, PhD, and Asst. Prof. Yordan Velkov shared their professional and creative experience, introducing the students to the specifics of the programmes in Industrial Design and Painting, and the wide range of specialties at the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design of the National Academy of Art in Sofia and Burgas. The prospective students also learned more about the professional realisation and development, which the alumni of the oldest higher education institution of art in Bulgaria can have.
