The National Academy of Art presented a poster exhibition at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin

On 2 December 2022, a poster exhibition 60 YEARS OF BULGARIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE – BERLIN was opened at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin. The exhibition presented educational posters of students from the 4th year of Poster and Visual Communication degree programme at the National Academy of Art – Sofia and Burgas Branch. The works were created especially for the anniversary of the institute under the mentorship of Prof. Georgi Iankov, Rector of the Academy.
The exhibition was opened in the presence of Ms Elena Shekerletova, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Berlin, Mr Borislav Petranov, Director of BCI – Berlin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nenko Atanasov, teacher in the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art, Monika Radeva and Akseniya Avramova – 4th-year students pursuing Poster and Visual Communication degree programme at the National Academy of Art.
By rethinking the iconic national and local symbols of both countries, the exhibition reinforces the long-standing fruitful collaboration between the National Acaemy of Art and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin. Presented to the international public in the German capital city, the collection will complement and develop the future joint projects of the two cultural institutions.
