The Polish master of glass art Prof. Kazimierz Pawlak will give a lecture on Polish glass art at the National Academy of Art

In his lecture, Prof. Kazimierz Pawlak, teacher at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Arts and Design in Wroclaw, Poland, will present Polish glass art and his artistic work.
 
Kazimierz Pawlak (b. 1957) studied at the Academy of Arts and Design in Wroclaw, Poland, and graduated with Master's degree in Glass Art in the atelier of Prof. Zbigniev Horbovy. Since 1982, he has been a faculty member at the Academy in Wroclaw. In the period 1996–2002, Prof. Pawlak was the Dean of the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass. His works have been shown in five solo exhibitions abroad. The artist has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, incl. Japan, Germany, France and the USA. He has also participated in 24 international symposiums and conferences on glass. In 1988, he was granted a scholarship by the Polish Ministry of Culture to study in Czechoslovakia. In 1994, he received a fellowship grant from the Creative Glass Center of America in Millville, New Jersey, USA. In 1998, he was an artist-in-residence at the Morin glass studio in Dieulefit, France.
