Opening: 14 October 2025, 1:00 pm, KOSZAROWA 19 Gallery
Following the vision of creating a sustainable platform for exchange, the first stage of this initiative will enable students and teachers of the Department of Printmaking at the National Academy of Art to present their works to the public in Katowice.
The exhibition demonstrates the wealth of techniques, styles and approaches being developed during the training at the National Academy of Art.
One of the main goals is the development of international interaction and exchange between the art academies, as well as promotion of contemporary Bulgarian printmaking, and inspiration for new creative searches and artistic interactions.
The exhibition is being held at the invitation of Prof. Marcin Białasz, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice and one of the leading contemporary graphic artists in Europe, whose solo exhibition was presented at the Academia Gallery in January 2024, and in March of the same year at the Atelier Gallery of the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch.
In 2026, an exhibition of works by students and professors from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, Poland, and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Italy, will be presented at the Academia Gallery of the National Academy of Art.
The project is implemented within the framework of the 2025 Competition for Funding Projects on the Scientific Research and Artistic Activities at the National Academy of Art.
