Exhibition of student works at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute – Bratislava within the framework of the 30th anniversary edition of the Biennial of Illustration in Bratislava – BIB 2025 under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture
The presented illustrations and book mock-ups of authorship publications for children with an alternative spatial form were developed as graduation projects during AY2023/2024 and AY2024/2025 at the National Academy of Art in Sofia and the Burgas Branch under the supervision of Prof. Viktor Paunov, Assoc. Prof. Kapka Kaneva, PhD, Asst. Prof. Emil Markov, Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Aleksiev, and Ch. Asst. Prof. Boyana Pavlova, PhD.
The exhibition features Blagovesta Neycheva, Gergana Alamanova, Yoana Todorova, Lora Toromanyan, Ralitsa Tabanova, Teodor Mirchev, Teodora Mineva, Yana Lankova, Denislav Stoyanov, Stefka Lozeva, Mariana Kamberova, Nikol Kyulanova, Vycheslava Tashkova, Gabriela Pehlivanova, Desislava Todorova, Elena Genova, Elena Maneva, Teodora Yordanova.
BIB is one of the oldest and most prestigious international forums for illustrations for children. The official selection and exhibition of the 30th Biennial includes works by 10 Bulgarian illustrators, including alumni of the Department of Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics at the National Academy of Art, as well as representatives of the teaching team – Asst. Prof. Mila Yaneva and Ch. Asst. Prof. Boyana Pavlova, PhD.
