Department Painting
To acquire BA in painting, artists need to demonstrate full understanding, and possess a firm grasp of their artistic skills on the basis of their contact with nature, of their ability to interpret space, shape and colour. With the BA curriculum, complemented by the study of other subjects, they become knowledgeable in the major principles of the composition and structure of paintings. The theoretical and practical analysis of epochs, styles and techniques they do on BA courses, shape the style and trends of artistic development. With a BA degree, the artists can work in any art field. In case they have obtained pedagogical qualifications, they can also teach in high comprehensive schools, and in higher schools for the arts.
In MA, artists are offered the chance of developing further their professional skills and build expertise within their personal development plans, with the approval of the faculty councils. They also accumulate additional theoretical and practical experience. MA students complete their studies with a diploma work to demonstrate the accumulated experience and to launch their artistic career by demonstrating their cultural positions, and their grasp on diverse artistic techniques. MA students are entitled to teaching in the higher schools of the country, and to take leading positions in culture and education.
