Gio Black Peter ( Giovanni Paolo Andrade Guevara ) was born in 1979 in Guatemala - a country which he left in 1984 to illegally immigrate to the U.S.. Bifurcation and masks and also an intimate portrait and an intimate diary of the artist's life in New York and his meetings there are at the heart of the work of Gio Black Peter, characterized by contradictory and subversive aesthetics. Universe of Giovanni presented through video , songs , drawings and paintings, is filled with fantasy and eccentricity , with prevailing absurdity and passing reality. His plays, performances, concerts, videos, graphics ... broadcast criticism of conventional and stereotypes . Besides having to force the artist knows how to play with desire, or rather a desired image that embodies and represents the scene. Gio Black Peter can consistently push us from humor to erotic, even to disgust. The energy with which Gio Black Peter seeks expression, desires and directs his thoughts and shaper of his simultaneously strange, cruel and funny works. Standing out is the image of an artistic generation, which many consider to be lost or disappointed , and Gio Black Peter Black proves to us the opposite with the grace and power of the predatory cat.
