Happening and closing of the Summer Academy for Children and Students
Dedicated to the World Day of Peace
Come to the Academia Gallery to immerse into the wonderful world that children and students created together in the studios of the Academy in August. In the exhibition Fly you will see plenty of children's drawings and works – paintings, watercolors and tempera paintings made in museums and galleries in Sofia, dolls, ceramics, stained glass and mosaics, prints, calligraphy, books and comics. For the first time will be presented author video - short animations created by the young academics.
The exhibition includes the wonderful works of children with severe disabilities, who also had the opportunity to create during Children’s Academy. Their works touched us with their deep and pure love of life.
An outstanding achievement for Summer Children's Academy and for the author himself is the sculpture Minotaur. It was created by Denis Popov, who is blind by birth. Dennis is for the third time at the Summer Academy and already seriously dreams of becoming a sculptor. He designed and cake Chocolate King that traditionally will be cut at the opening of the exhibition.
On August 31 at 5 pm, will be held Closing Ceremony of the Summer Academy with Happening dedicated to September 1 - World Day of Peace. The happening includes: Air Man installation; Review of designer suits that children themselves will design and make from paper; Graduation ceremony for participation; Starting Flying installation and cocktail.
Throughout the day will be screened Bulgarian cartoons provided to us by the Bulgarian National Film Archive - shop № 7 of the National Academy, 1 Shipka Street.
On 29 and 31 August Children's Academy will operate all day.
