Graphic Art BA

BA degree holders in Graphic Art acquire fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in fine arts and fine graphics in particular. Training in the speciality is carried out on the basis of the study of the following subjects: graphics, composition, drawing, art history, plastic anatomy, perspective, aesthetics, philosophy, graphic design. Drawing from life and imagination allows students to create graphic compositions and implement them through the classical graphical technologies. In a series of tasks of increasing complexity students construct space and build perspectives, finding dynamic and interdependent relationship between them. They organize light and shade, highlight volumes, graphic contrasts and textures, and implement composition solutions in graphical techniques.
Studying classical dimensional patterns, interpreted by a modern aspect is a necessary step in the development of a creative personality. Artists – BA holders can perform at a highly professional level their own art projects as well as art projects of other people. In case they have studied a minor in “Theory and practice of art education” they acquire additional qualification in teaching of fine arts and are entitled to teaching in general education and vocational schools.
