Metal BA
The great variety of genres of metal works requires students to be consistently familiarized in the rich heritage of the different areas of artistic metal, the properties of metals and capabilities of different techniques and technologies to create works of art - from miniature to monumental works. Four separate specialized workshops were established, which consecutively train all students in Bachelor's degree in the following areas: hot and cold working of metals, jewellery, medal and coin design and heraldry and design of metal pieces for specific architectural and natural environment. In these workshops students have classes 12 hours a week – 6 hours for metal and 6 hours for composition. During the four years in the Academy, students study modeling from life, combinatorics, architecture, symbolism, art history, anatomy, perspective, aesthetics, philosophy, etc. Upon completion of a minor in “Theory and practice of art education” they obtain qualification “Teacher of Fine Arts from first to twelfth grade in general education and vocational schools”.
