Textile – Art and Design BA
Artists in Textile are trained to work in the two main areas of this discipline - textile art and textile design. The BA academic degree guarantees acquiring artistic design and its implementation in fabrics, printed and hand-made drawings on textile. Tuition is based on national traditions, on nature as a generator of ideas and on contemporary means of expression in textile along with obtaining technical and artistic expertise in fabrics and patterned textile surfaces. The main topics of art work are textiles, interior textiles, clothing and accessories. The artists – BA holders pursue a career as designers of textiles for clothing and interior design in the textile industry, as decorators or artists in the field of textile art. Upon completion of a minor in “Theory and practice of art education” they obtain qualification “Teacher of Fine Arts from first to twelfth grade in general education and vocational schools”.
