Prof. Shau-Tieng delivered a lecture to students and teachers from the National Academy of Art and Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski on The Art of Cave Paintings in the Dunhuang Caves – Along the Chinese Silk Road. The official guest was the cultural attaché of China, Mr Guan Xin.
On behalf of the National Academy of Art, Ms Svilena Mateeva, Director of Education, Projects and International Activities, greeted the lecturer and the guests for the productive meeting and talked about the good Chinese-Bulgarian relations in art education, including the development of a new joint Master's degree programme in Restoration to be organised by the National Academy of Art and the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, China.
The event hosted by Academia Gallery at the National Academy of Art is one marking the Days of Chinese Culture and Science in Bulgaria, organised by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bulgaria, the Association of Sinologists in Bulgaria, and the Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College.
