Calligraphy Creative Workshop

This creative workshop is the second one in a row and part of the celebration activities related to the 75th anniversary of the academic degree programme in Poster and Visual Communication, and funded under the Open Competition for Scientific and Artistic-Creative Activities at the National Academy of Art for Year 2022.
 
Calligraphy is a complex concept which has evolved over the years from beautiful handwriting to a way of self-expression of each individual author through the graphic culture of letters.
 
The event host is Dr. Margarita Doncheva – an artist with numerous achievements both in the field of calligraphy and as a graphic designer and poster artist. She is the winner of many prestigious national and international awards, and also the leader of KalIGRAfia atelier for calligraphy experiements, creative calligraphy workshops in Burgas (Bulgaria), teacher at Dimitar Dobrovich High School of Art in Sliven (Bulgaria), etc.
 
Margarita Doncheva's assistants in the upcoming event will be Valentin Shtinkov and Rami Hamud, Master's degree second-year students in Calligraphy.
 
10 places equipped with the necessary materials for writing are intended for those who come first to participate in the workshop (participation on a first-come, first-served basis). Anyone else who brings their own materials or wants to observe and listen is also welcome.
