One of the priority areas of activity of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw is supporting partnerships and the exchange of ideas, projects and cultural products for better mutual knowledge and understanding between Bulgaria and Poland.
The prestigious Kobro Gallery in Łódź will present the exhibition Creative Meetings - Łódź. The exhibition will feature works by the Bulgarian artists Prof. Svetozar Benchev, Director of the Burgas Branch of the Bulgarian Academy of Art, Prof. Manya Vaptsarova, PhD – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design, Assoc. Prof. Regina Dakalacheva, PhD – Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, and the Polish artists Prof. Marek Wrzeszynski, Dean of the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, and Prof. Marek Sak and Prof. Dorota Sak from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
The exhibition is the second part of the Creative Meetings project initiated by the Bulgarian Cultural Institute.
The main idea is to “visit” the non-capital space by developing and supporting further creative contacts between the National Academy of Art in Sofia and related universities in other Polish cities, in this particular case the Academy of Fine Arts “Władysław Strzeminski” in Łódź. We also invited a large group of artists associated with this academy, through which the initiative continues to achieve its goals – the next bridges of cooperation in the field of culture and spirituality between Bulgaria and Poland will undoubtedly be built.
