In the bookbinding process, the binding cloth is a key element. This seemingly neglected, but actually important part of the bookbinding stages is something that should by no means be underestimated. In the bookbinding process, the binding cloth is a key element. This seemingly neglected, but actually important part of the book binding stages is something that should by no means be underestimated. Since the available options of supplying the specified material are relatively difficult to use at this stage, the creative workshop on the production of book binding cloth is a good alternative for anyone who wants to be involved in manual bookbinding. Horizons are endless, because the methods of self-production of bookbinding cloth allow for artistic refinement of the final result, and ensure a high degree of individuality of the outcome/product. The authorship binding strives for maximum uniqueness, and the skills obtained as a result of the creative workshop would contribute to all this.
This creative workshop is the third in a row. It is also a celebration event related to the 75th anniversary of the Department of Poster and Visual Communication within the Open Competition for Scientific and Artistic Activity at the National Academy of Art.
During the workshop, 8 stationary places will be available for work – for first comers. Each work place can be used by several participants as well. Those who bring their own materials or want to be observers and listeners are also welcome.
