2023.03.17

The National Academy of Art received a valuable donation of posters by the renowned Bulgarian poster artist Petar Sl. Petrov along with editions from his private collection. The artist graduated from the National Academy of Art in 1964 with a degree in Applied Graphics under Prof. Alexander Poplilov.

The donated political, film, theatre, and social posters were created during the artist's most active creative period. The artist's wife, Mrs. Pepa Petrova, gratuitously provided the posters and print publications for the needs of the National Academy of Art and now they are already part of the Academy's Museum Collection.

Students from the Department of Poster and Visual Communication and their teacher, Assoc. Prof. Nenko Atanasov, PhD, participated in the process of listing and archiving the donation items.
