The winners selected by an international jury will be announced during the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition of the ten nominees from Bulgaria will be opened by Associate Professor Dr. Boni Petrunova, Deputy Minister of Culture, in the presence of Prof. Svetoslav Kokalov, Rector of the Academy, Mr. Andreas Hofer, a member of the jury from
Essl Museum, Mrs. Maria Vassileva, jury member from Bulgaria and Mr. Christoph Rath, member of the Management Board of Bulstrad.
The Awards for Creative Achievements ESSL ART AWARD CEE are awarded in eight countries by Essl Museum and the main sponsor Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein, the main shareholder of VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP, to young artists at the beginning of their careers. Exhibition of Nominees is held in each country, displaying ten items selected by an international jury.
The Award for Creative Achievements ESSL ART AWARD CEE was established in the eight participating countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey and Hungary as a project that is crucial for the future of young artists. Proof of this are more than 500 applications from students from art schools for this year's awards and the very active cooperation with more than 40 academies of art. Prizes will be awarded by 13-member jury, consisting of an art expert from each country, the President of the Jury, Rene Block, curators from the Essl Museum and representative of the Vienna Insurance Group / Wiener Städtischen Versicherungsverein.
Nominated for the Award for Creative Achievements ESSL ART AWARD CEE 2015 in Bulgaria are Boryana Tcherneva, Angel Chobanov, Simeon Damyanov, Martin Ivanov, Iliana Kancheva, Ivan Kashlakov, Konstantin Kostov, Kalina Mavrodieva, Maria Stamati and Miglena Yoncheva-Nikolova.
