Evolution 6 is an exhibition created by students at the National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch. Evolution is elaborated through the themes of six abstract stages: Womb, The First Seven, Teenage Years, Middle Age, Old Age, and Death.

Each category provides a unique insight into the physical and emotional development of the individual and nature. The main purpose of Evolution 6 is provocation and reasoning. Some works deal with the subject "literally", while others offer a personal perspective. As Emil Krotky says: Art is a guess at what science does not yet know. This exhibition is the result of the effort made by a group of ambitious students united by a common vision. The individual talents of the artists become a reflection of the common creative vision.

The central art installation is symbol of how each human soul is a fragment, a part of the great "world soul", namely a fruit of the "tree of life", which has passed along its path – grown from flower to maturity and returned into the soil at the roots. The tree – creator of all fruits that ever existed or will ever exist. Each flower has the potential to become a fruit, but also to become dust. The work asks questions related to content and form, to the human path and possible existence. In the man's attempt to live and extensively tread the paths of evolution, a cycle is traced, starting from the ephemeral womb beginning until death, which in a way covers the corpse with its membrane and processes matter until its spiritual synthesis. Between the two stages, beginning and end, are the semantic connections of the border state. The installation is conceptually and plastically subordinated to the specific space that accommodates the creative object. In this case, the relationship between space and objects creates a dialogue through metaphorical synthesis. Join us to explore human evolution through the power of artistic expression.
