Exhibition of illustrations by graduates of the Department of Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics in Bratislava

On 4 October 2023, the exhibition "Authorship Experiments in Illustration and Book Design" was opened at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava. The exposition showcases works by BA graduates of the Department of Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics at the National Academy of Art in Sofia.
The exhibition selection comprises illustrations and book mock-ups created during academic year 2022/2023 as educational assignment "Authorship Children's Edition with an Alternative Spatial Form" under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Regina Dalkalacheva PhD and Asst. Prof. Boyana Pavlova.

The opening of the exhibition in Bratislava, which this year is the world capital of illustration, is also part of the accompanying cultural programme of the 29th edition of the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava – BIB 2023. The event was attended by the Director of BIB 2023, Zuzana Liptakova, members of the international jury, and book art lovers.
The BIB 2023 exhibition features over 2,000 illustrations by artists from around the world. 8 of the selected artists are from Bulgaria, 6 of whom are graduates of the Department of Book, illustration, Printed Graphics.
