First Bachelor's degree graduates at the Burgas Branch of the National Academy of Art

The first class of Bachelor's degree students at Burgas Branch graduated at an official graduation ceremony held on 13 June 2022 in Shop 1, Burgas Port Complex, and their diploma projects were presente in an exhibition. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the National Academy of Art Prof. Georgi Yankov, the Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Nikolay Mladenov, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Svetozar Benchev and the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Bogdanov, Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Regina Dalkalacheva, Director of the Branch Assoc. Prof. Dimo Kolibarov, the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, the District Governor Stoyko Tankov, the deputy mayors Yordanka Ananieva and Diana Savateva, the Chairwoman of the Municipal Council Ms. Turmanova, representatives of the Municipality of Burgas and the Port of Burgas, rectors of universities, partners, artists, teachers and students.
On the occasion, the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov said that the opening of the Branch in the city is an important step in the development of higher education and of the cultural life in Burgas.
Today is a historic moment for confirmation and fulfillment of a dream not only of the Burgas creative community and guild, but also of all my fellow citizens, regarding the launch, operation and development of the Branch of the National Academy of Art... The Branch of the National Academy of Art way and with his own style in the cultural life of Burgas. I wish you an extremely cloudless future!
As a sign of gratitude and appreciation for the development of education in the city, Dimitar Nikolov presented the honorary plaque of Burgas to the Rector of the National Academy of Art Prof. Georgi Iankov and to the Director of the Branch Assoc. Prof. Dimo Kolibarov.
The Rector of the National Academy of Art greeted the official guests and expressed his and of the academic community gratitude personally to the Mayor and his team for the support provided over the years for the establishment of the Branch of the National Academy of Art. It is a great pride and joy for me that we have gathered here, today, on the occasion of the first exhibition of bachelors from the Branch of the National Academy of Arts in Burgas. Four years passed fast. We judge the past by what it brings us today! Dear graduates, you already have not only your talent but also the knowledge. Everything is forthcoming for you, be bold and continue, and I am certain that you will have a long life of creation!
The Branch of the National Academy of Art in Burgas is a fact by virtue of Decree № 16 of 5th February 2018 of the Council of Ministers. At the Branch, students are trained in: Painting; Printmaking; Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics; Poster and Visual Communication; Fashion, and the Master's degree programmes in Art Therapy and Cultural Heritage of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.
With its ateliers, lecture halls for students, and administrative premises, the Branch of the National Academy of Art occupies the area on the second floor of the new modern building Magazia 1, located in the free-access area of the Port of Burgas and in the Congress Center of the harbour.
For the establishment of the Burgas Branch, the National Academy of Art received assistance and overall support from the Municipality of Burgas.
