Opening of exhibition "Social Posters" by the artist Peter Pocs

On 9 May 2023, the exhibition "Social Posters" by the Hungarian poster master Peter Pocs was opened in Terrace Atelier of the National Academy of Art (New Academic Building, Floor 5).

 

Pocs has been invited to Bulgaria by the team of the International Poster Triennial. The exhibition is part of the "Face to Face" project, presenting exhibitions and lectures by the artist.

 

Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Prof. Georgi Iankov, the Rector of the National Academy of Art, Ms Albena Spasova, and Prof. Bozhidar Yonov.

 

Peter Pocs's visit and activities in Bulgaria are supported through the Programme for Scholarly and Artistic Activities at the National Academy of Art. They are part of the programme  "The Poster – Projections and Perspectives" implemented with the assistance of the National Culture Fund by the International Stage Poster Triennial – Sofia, which is included in the Calendar of Cultural Events of Sofia Municipality for 2023 as well.

 

The exhibition can be viewed until 19 May 2023. As a European Night of Museums – Sofia 2023 venue, Terrace Atelier (New Academic Building, 5th floor, 1 Shipka Street) will be open for visitors on 13 May 2023 (Saturday) from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
