STOIMEN STOILOV | Awarding with the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the National Academy of Art
Stoimen Stoilov is an artist capable of building from ashes, a master of printmaking and illustration, a skilled connoisseur of plastic arts, in whose figurative ensembles the viewer goes on a journey. For his exceptional contribution to the development of contemporary Bulgarian visual art and promoting it around the world, the Academic Council of the National Academy of Art has decided to award Prof. Stoimen Stoilov with the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa.
The official awarding ceremony will take place on 28 September 2026, in Academia Gallery, at 6:00 pm. On this occasion, Stoimen Stoilov is presenting an exhibition at the Academia Gallery, including works created with various techniques and mediums–prints, papyri, pastels, drawings and paintings–from different periods in his artistic life.
