Students from the National Academy of Art participate in project "Cultural Heritage in Modern Touches"

Painting, Mural Painting, and Printmaking students from the National Academy of Art in Sofia and the Burgas Branch of the Academy participate in the project "Cultural Heritage in Modern Touches". The project is implemented in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts at Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and St. Methodius" under the programme for financing creative projects in the field of visual arts of the Ministry of Culture, and with the financial and organisational support of Orlitsa Foundation.

 

The project activities include a plein air from 25 February to 8 March 2023 in the picturesque natural surroundings of Sinia vir Eco Residence in the village of Medven, and a series of exhibitions presenting the works which the students from the two higher education institutions have created.

 

The plein air provides an opportunity for establishing of creative contacts between the participants, for creative exchange between the art schools, and for organsing of discussions, debates and analyses with the help of the students' artistic leaders. 

 

The plein air leader from the National Academy of Art is Prof. Svetozar Benchev, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
