Sveta Paraskeva Academic Choir at the National Academy of Art will deliver a concert on the occasion of 24 May

On 24 May 2025, Sveta Paraskeva Academic Choir at the National Academy of Art, conducted by Dr. Galina Lukanova, will present its festive greetings on the occasion of 24th of May – the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slavonic Literature. The concert programme includes emblematic works by the Bulgarian composers Panayot Pipkov, Dobri Hristov, Filip Kutev, Parashkev Hadzhiev, and Mario Milushev.

In 2024, the ensemble delivered a solo concert in the Iron Church of St Stephen in Istanbul, Turkey, and took part in a prestigious event in the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, where a combined choir of over 1,000 singers from different countries performed Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem. The choir is involved with the preparation of several other musical projects – participation in the Orthodox Music Festival in Gabrovo in October this year, a joint concert with the Gabrovo Chamber Orchestra as well as a performance of Schubert's Mass in E flat major in the Golden Hall of the Musicverein in Vienna in early November.
