The anniversary exhibition 60 Years of Design Education at the National Academy of Art, dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of design education at the National Academy of Art, continues its visits. After its successful presentation this year: in May at the Acad. Dechko Uzunov National School of Applied Arts and Design – Kazanlak, and in September during Via Pontica – International Youth Arts Festival, Balchik, it is about to be exhibited at two other important places in Bulgaria.
On 4 November, at 1:00 pm, the exhibition will be opened in Tryavna, at the National High School of Applied Arts "Trevnenska Shkola" (NHSAA), which was chosen not by chance, because for 100 years it has continued to be the guardian of Bulgarian traditions in applied arts, while providing its students the most technologically advanced environment for practical design training.
The exhibition can be viewed until 14 November 2025 at the NHSAA "Trevnenska shkola" during the working days and hours – from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, at 150 Angel Kanchev Street, Tryavna.
In Burgas, the exhibition will be opened on 17 November, at 5:30 pm, in the Atelier Gallery, National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch, which over the years has become an attractive cultural centre with a specific contribution to the development and formation of the cultural environment in the seaside city.
The exhibition can be viewed until 30 November 2025, during the working days and hours of Atelier Gallery, Magaziya 1, fl. 2, Port Complex Burgas.
60 Years of Design Education at the National Academy of Art is composed of selected student projects completed over the last ten academic years – graduation and end-of-semester projects within the framework of various disciplines studied in the Bachelor's degree programme in Industrial Design, as well as project visualisations and mock-ups created during the Master's degree programmes studies. Innovative ideas for products from various thematic areas can be seen – household and utilitarian objects, furniture and elements of the residential environment, equipment and machines from the production environment, various types of vehicles, utensils, tools, electronics and computing devices, elements and facilities for open spaces in urban environments, as well as for the public environment. Solutions for interior and exterior environments are also shown.
The exhibition project "60 Years of Design Education at the National Academy of Art" is implemented within the framework of the 2025 Competition for Funding Projects on the Scientific Research and Artistic Activities at the National Academy of Art.
