The National Academy of Art again ranks first in the professional field of Fine Arts

In the Bulgarian University Ranking System for 2026, the National Academy of Art tops the ranking with 49 points, followed by St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo with 45 points and New Bulgarian University with 43 points.
This result is a recognition of the consistent work of the lecturers, students and administrative staff at the National Academy of Art for the quality of education and for the development of the academic and creative environment and activities.
On the eve of its 130th anniversary, the Academy continues to connect the academic tradition in art education with contemporary trends in visual art, creating opportunities for professional development of its students.
The ranking of higher education institutions in Bulgaria is implemented by the OSI-S consortium (Open Society Institute – Sofia and Sirma Group) on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria. The system compares higher education institutions by professional fields based on indicators of the educational process, scientific activity, learning environment, prestige and realisation of graduates.
