The National Academy of Art marks the 110th birth anniversary of Aleksandar Poplilov with a screening of the film "To Live"

The National Academy of Art and the Department of Poster and Visual Communication invite you to celebrate together the 110th birth anniversary of Prof. Aleksandar Poplilov–a universal artist, an exceptional educator, a wizard of words and wisdom.
On 21 May 2026 (Thursday), at 6:00 pm, the Academia Gallery will host the screening of the documentary “To Live”, dedicated to the life and work of Prof. Aleksandar Poplilov.

The school of contemporary Bulgarian applied graphics begins from the doors of his academic studio. He embedded his most mature creative years into the spiritual growth of the Academy, where he was a lecturer, professor, rector and artist, gathering the admiration, respect and recognition of students and colleagues.
