The National Academy of Art participated in the College & Uni Expo "I Choose to Study and Stay in Bulgaria" in the city of Pleven

On 23 and 24 February 2026, the National Academy of Art participated in the fourth edition of the educational forum "I Choose to Study and Stay in Bulgaria". The event, hosted by the Municipality of Pleven, was held at the Rostov Hotel and brought together representatives of 36 higher education institutions in Bulgaria.
 
The Academy was represented by Yavor Kondov, Public Relations Senior Expert, Eva-Maria Cheresheva, Expert in the International Department, and doctoral student Tanya Nadelcheva from the Department of Scenography. They held meetings with high school students from Pleven and the region, their parents and teachers, to get them familiar with the specifics of the academic programmes at the Academy, the prep courses and consultations for applicants, the admission requirements, the opportunities for Erasmus+ programme mobilities, participation in international art residencies and symposia, and the prospects for professional realisation.
 
The scientific and publishing activities at the National Academy of Art were presented through catalogue publications about realised exhibitions, catalogues from the funds of the Academy's Museum Collection, and specialised publications by the Academy's Departments, which reflect the creative work and scientific research.
 
The official opening of the forum took place on 23 February 2026. Among those who welcomed the participants were Dr. Ivan Malkodanski, Chair of Pleven Municipal Council, Mr. Martin Machev, District Governor of Pleven District, Dr. Paulina Kirova, Deputy Mayor  for Humanitarian Activities of the Municipality of Pleven, and the Olympic champion and honorary citizen of Pleven,Tereza Marinova.
