The Rector of the National Academy of Art and the Commandant of the G.S. Rakovski Military Academy signed a framework agreement for cooperation and joint activities

On 17 April 2024, the Rector of the National Academy of Art Prof. Georgi Iankov and the Commandant of the G.S. Rakovski Military Academy Major General Todor Dochev signed a framework agreement for cooperation and joint activities between the two academies. The event took place at 12:00 pm in the Royal Hall of the Military Academy.
 
The cooperation document defines the aspiration of the managing bodies of the two higher educational institutions to enrich their educational activities through implementing joint projects and programmes, and through exchange of scientific and educational potential. The agreement also includes organising of creative workshops, thematic lectures, and interactiion activites of students and teachers from both academies.
 
The framework agreement that we conclude today concerns a long joint activity, which creates the main link between the two educational institutions. On the occasion of the largest scientific conference in Bulgaria "20 years of Bulgaria in NATO and NATO in Bulgaria", held in the Celebration Hall of the Military Academy and the Concert Hall in the Military Club in Sofia, it was created by teachers of the National Academy of Art overall visual layout of the halls. – said Major General Todor Dochev – and added that with the help of the Academy of Arts, the project for "The Path of Glory", presenting the eminent personalities who graduated from the Military Academy, was developed.
 
The Rector of the National Academy of Art Prof. Georgi Iankov expressed his great respect and honour to be in the space of the Military Academy in the "Royal Halls" set, adding: The two oldest state educational institutions are not only educational, but each in its own characteristic way has preserved and developed the culture of our country - the Art Academy in the field of fine arts, and the Military Academy - in the spirit of patriotism and modern military work. We hope that we will build on our partnership with even more meaningful projects and common events. The Rector Prof. Georgi Iankov thanked Major General Todor Dochev and the entire leadership of the Military Academy for providing spaces for the needs of the educational process of the Academy of Sciences, on the occasion of the upcoming reconstruction of one of its main buildings.
 
At the finale of the official ceremony, Major General Todor Dochev presented Prof. Georgi Iankov with a valuable photo album "Aeroplane Photographs of Tactical Significance from the Great War 1914–1918 – Part One".
