The exhibition is being implemented as part of the second stage of the international project "Printmaking Without Borders"–an artistic initiative aimed at creating intercultural dialogue through art and at expanding opportunities for creative interaction between students and lecturers. The first part of the project presented works by students and lecturers from the National Academy of Art in October 2025, in Katowice.
The exhibition at Academia Gallery is presenting various aspects of contemporary printmaking, current trends, techniques, creative concepts and experimental approaches of students and lecturers developed in the three art academies. A printed catalogue is also forthcoming as an archiving tool of the project and a basis for future joint initiatives. After presenting the exhibition in Sofia, it will also be displayed in Milan–the capital city of Lombardy in Italy.
